Grab rail for V4?

Hello

I am now the proud owner of a V4 APRC. I would like to take my good lady out on it (one of the conditions of ownership!) as a pillion but would prefer a grab rail. I was looking at the Ventura luggage which offers a grab rail attachment, however it appears you have to remove the passenger foot pegs to fit the brackets.

Does anyone know of a decent solution to adding a grab rail?

Yes, both right. It does have handles under the seat but they don't work too well apparently. I can't comment as I always sit up front ;-)

I wanted the Ventura kit but disappointed it doesn't fit without taking off the rear pegs. There may not be a decent solution yet but had to ask.....

Thanks Keith, not a bad idea. I'll see if I can get one to fit over my love handles!!

I'll still progress the Ventura route though....I must be a glutton for punishment.

I am loving the V4 though! Fantastic fun.
 
Ive looked at the Ventura website and the system must fit with the passenger footrests somehow.Yes the bike in the pic has them removed,but the blurb goes on about turning the pack around when you have a passenger aboard.
 
Thanks Keith. I think I'll give them a ring, and maybe buy the 'L' brackets first and give them a go. I can always return them if not fit for purpose. Hopefully.
 
panteraV4 as i just asked mick on his views on the gen 1+2 tuonos as he as had both have you had a vtwin tuono if so is there much of a difference between them electrics apart and looks

******; Can't help I'm afraid. My last few bikes have been GSXR-1000 to BMW R1200GS to Hayabusa to the V4 so no experience of previous Tuonos. All I can say is that the V4 is fantastic and far more capable than I am!

garry; I'm liking the idea. What could possibly go wrong?
 
The Ventura rack does work with the pillion foot pegs. Just install them over the top.

But dont buy the RSV4 rack as it is slightly different and needs mods.

1. Lots of ****
2. A bike I can't really afford to keep but am anyway so **** it.
3. A sense of humour......
 
All you have to do is add a 30mm spacer to the rear foot pegs and that way you can have the ventura rack, the foot pegs and if you fit it, the grab rail. Just done the same to my machine.

stix i think we would be more impressed with whats in the fridge mate especially the amount of booze you sozzle :yes
