Greetings,

Just about to dump a set of 2cts,..'spit spit' and put on a set of gp racers for the summer if they last that long! but not fussed about that..wondered if anyone has used em and what can I expect from em?
Cheers

I run them them (have 3 sets in the garage!!!) they are the best tyres I have EVER used!! SOOOOO much grip it is scary BUT I only use them on track!!! I also use warmers as they run very low pressures (rear is set to 21psi cold!!!!) don't think they'd last long on the road tbh, but have a look at the sportsmarts, same technology, massive grip and MUCH more mileage!!

Same as andirsv, I use them on track at low pressures. Fantastic grip but need to keep cornering to keep temperature in them. Never considered using them on the road 'cos don't think they'd last that long.
Just got a new front and on the search for a rear for next track day.
I've always used soft or medium compound but think they do an Endurance compound too, that might be better for road use.....maybe?

Nice one thanks for that chaps..got em both real cheap so thought I give em a go..although I have just been for a blast and was disappointed..I couldnt help feeling things weren't quite right..Just checked the pressures and there was 44 in the rear and 42 in the front...so that'll be the problem then! Gonna go the recommended 32/33 front and 36 rear, that should restore some confidence :)

If you're doing some quick riding on some twisties you could drop the pressures a bot more. They run best at low twenties on track when nice and warm. Where did you get them cheap? I'm on the hunt for some at the moment and hoping not to have to pay silly money.

Got the rear of ebay and was given the front...well I've been out and still not happy just can't generate any heat and shes all over the place..so may drop em further..what do you reckon? If that doesn't work then I'll just set fire to her I think, only joking but she is a pain in the arse to set up, reckon its does to over firm ohlins front end that needs a fork oil change with lighter oil...

russtay - not had my RSVR long and still getting used to it. For some reason previous owmer had set everything to softest settings. It was all over the place at first but have set up suspension to that listed in the manual for track settings. Also stiffened steering damper. That has made it much more controllable.
Maybe something else to bear in mind might be the profile of the Dunlops compared to what you had before. I'm sure someone else can descibe it properly but I've felt some race tyres are more of a V shape so tend to tip in much quicker and feel a bit unstable. Might be talking complete rubbish but maybe something to consider.

Nice one, I know what you saying..to be honest I am now looking to sell the bike, I absolutely love how it looks and sounds etc but just can't get it to go where I want, my old ratty gsxr600 would run rings around it, but that's probably just it..I am more suited to that than my much loved rsv..so I think I will start here on this forum with a for sale advert, cheers for you comments

You're Joking!!
I replaced a GSXR 750 track bike with a RSVR and had to go to the otehr end of the country to get it and you want to go the other way........and you're only 10 miles down the road!!!
