I picked her up last night and enjoyed the trip home a lot more than the train journey there, standing in the middle of a carriage looking like 'Black Stig', lol! Anyway, what a machine! It's got the Ape racing can on and it sounds like it should be spitting flames, or bullets out of the back!
Anyway, I'm going to be busy this weekend (and probably next), here is my preliminary worklist:
Check Oil (should have been done)
Check tyre pressures
Check Air filter (should be new)
Check for aibox restriction
Check for MAP2 restriction
Check spark plugs colour / condition
Check fuel lines
Check vacuum lines
Check Eprom type
Flush / Change Clutch fluid
Flush / Change Brake fluid
Will Abba stand work?
New chain / sprocks
Clean / free disc bobbins.
Check / clean Calipers
Check Suspension linkage
Check wheel bearings
Check Head bearings
Check wiring
Check battery - old?
Check earths
Check solenoid - oem?
Check reg/rec - oem?
Check sidestand switch - mucky?
Check clutch slave - oem?
Then, the shopping and real work begins....
Change reg/rec if OEM and then
Eliminate brown connector
Eliminate white connector
Change soilenoid if OEM (150 A (wemoto £25 / Yam #4KD-81940-00-00)
Replace battery YTZ14 BS if old
Change stand for GSXr 1000 (K2-6)
Change clutch slave MPL / Oberon if OEM
Re pack race can?
De restrict oem can?
Check Valve clearances
Throttle bodies - Griff
I'm hoping the weather will be kind. Can't wait to get out for a proper ride...
