Goodwood Festival of Speed "“ Friday 1st July

Am thinking of heading over for a butchers. Is on for the weekend of the 1st-3rd of July but going to go on the Friday as the tickets are cheaper & hopefully it won’t be as crowded. Anyone else planning to go / fancy meeting up for the day?

I am definitely going, but may be taking my son, so will have to go in the car as SWMBO refuses to allow him on the bike :-(

Have been most years for the last God knows how long, and it's a good day out for a petrol-head, especially if you are a bit of a geek for some of the more classic bits of kit. It's not often you get to see multi-million pound bits of kit being hooned up the track with great gusto, and little care for the cost of repair if (when) they smack in to the flint wall ... a great day out

For the last few years, tickets have been in advance only, so you may be out of luck, although they're still selling Friday tickets today, including roving grandstand seats, which are well worth their extra cost.

Ended up going on the Thursday which was a motorshow day as got some tickets through work. Not as good as the Friday / weekend as only stuff running the hill was new products from the manufacturers. Still a good day out all in all & beat having to work :yes Took a couple of crap pics on the phone but battery died by the time I got to the pits for the nice stuff, doh!

For the kids. Well me really, I love the film
