Does anyone know if there is a colour code for the lighter coloured gold OZs, looks like im going down the gold route, hate the manky blue, hope I dont regret it,

Love the blue ones. Miss my old Oz wheels for the looks. Still the Graphite Gray brembo's im sporting now show less dirt up :)

Gold are nice on the right bike :)

The gold wheels are anodised, and are manky also. Hard to bloody clean no matter what I use it still looks dirty

Dont know if anyone has matched the anodised colour, though i saw a post about the frame colour gold which is slightly darker

found the codes but it could be the darker bronzy colour im not sure

" The frame colour is Lechler 02175 Gold Dream Evo mixed paint (its actually a Ducati colour)

Formulation for 1ltr =
Base HF 214 (468.2 quantity they did not tell me if this is weight or ml) /
HF 107 (223.2) /
HF422 (126) /
HF696 (108.0) /
HF236 (68.4) /
HF689 (43.2) /
HF008 (5.6) /
HF181 (2.0) Total quantity = (1044) but they said this is ok "

Its just as easy to pop into a paint dealer and look at the colour cards and as your not actually matching a colour already on the bike it would not matter if it was slighly out

keep the blue m8 , try wd40 to clean them , best cleaner for the oz wheels ive used

Dynamo, thanks for the time and effort you put in to getting this info, it is much appreciated, I have decided to have them powder coated as close as possible to the gold on the discs if the guy can get that near, thanks again, :)

Cheers MICK,

I am keeping the origonal OZs blue in case I sell the bike and the buyer wants it back to standard, its not the cleaning issue, I just dont like the blue, they just dont go with the bike.

I know what you mean, I have a blue set to go on my 05 red/black RSV, but they just don't look good. I'm struggling to decide between red and gold, a problem I've solve with the track bike:)

Right, I changed my mind when I got to the powder coaters, ive gone for Black, and asked if he could put a drift of Red over the black, hope they look OK or I will have to change back to gold, hmmm decisions decisions.
Will post a pick when done.

i too aint keen on the blue...... thinking of doing mine black.
What sort of price is it for powder coating ?
Also,i take it you have to remove wheel bearings ? - if so assume need new ones ?

Cheers

£45-60 a wheel i think....yep...have to remove bearings and put new ones in.............Black is better than gold any day...Hate the gold wheels and frame....yukaroo lol

Yeah I always fancied having black frame and swingarm but cant be without the bike for that long :( One day maybe. when I buy my Edwards lol

£45-£60 per wheel.... thats better than i thought. Dont think ill be buying "genuine prilly" bearings tho..... off to a factor it will be....

Right, next time tyres are due..... Black it is !

BB1000 is correct with his quote, I was quoted £50 per wheel, I am still waiting for wheels to be done as the guy doing them has gone on his jollies, im in no rush tho.
Will post a pick as soon as they are done.
As for the bearings, I got the front and rears, including dust sheilds for £25 local, decent ones too (***).

Tash.

The powder coating is being done by a guy called John Colling, he owns Heritage Classics of Teesside, hes based at Riverside Park Industrial Estate.

Smashing fella, biker too, does an excellent job at everything he does, his number is 01642 252040, he is on holiday at the moment but will be back Tuesday.
