Gold Frame Bikes Question

Ive got a simple and straightforward question !

Are the gold frames on the 06 Factory bikes painted or anodised gold ?

You forgot the word HORRIBLE too :biggrin

I think they're anodised :dunno but i'm only guessing, so thats probably useless to you, sorry :roll

One friday afternoon after a wee session on Pinot Gregio, Luigi realised he had forgot to paint the factory frames, he pissed in a paint pot and liberally sprayed away before adding a final clear coat to finish them offuke

Cant speak for others, but it's a bit of a sickly gold and looks a bit of an afterthought to me imho :dunno saying that I wouldn't NOT buy one if i was in the market for a Factory :thumbup

Only my opinion but a polish aluminiun frame certainly does'nt need to be painted.It's so beautiful as is. My opinion.

Best thing gold frame owners can do is get some Carbon Frame covers for them!

Boyler will be doing them very shortly.

i think the proble is the gold frame and the polished swingarm - should of been one or the other - in fact they both should of been matt black - the best colour especially with gold wheels and forks etc

Crikey ! I have just bought an 06 Factory, I accually liked the gold frame cause it was "different", could have bought an 07 with silver frame for not much more at the time.
Oh well, I suppose if I like it thats the main thing ! Hope I dont get sick looking at it after a while.

Everyone has different tastes Rab, and if you love it, who cares what anyone else thinks. I bought a Yellow bike cause I love yellow bikes, but theres many who are probably repulsed by it :dunno but it warms my heart every time I take it out so thats all that matters :inlove
