Hi does anybody have expierience of fitting these..the instructions tell you to fit nuts to lock the counterparts but you dont have room to tighten them

Found this clicky looks like you will have to undo the adjusting screw to fit a nut on thats the only way i can see how you could do it :eatcornmight be a bit tight as you say :dunno

reading a few things from searching, that these adjusters have some issues with snapping

Just read a story one on a bussa. I have to say it's a worry but if you tighten the spindle nut up effin tight I dont see how it can happen.

I'd have 'em if we could actually fit them without having to mod the swingarm! :doh

The nut is not an essential part!

The (new) manual gives the following instructions:
  • Insert bolt M6 for fixing the counter part and screw on nut
    M6(2).
  • If it is not possible to insert a nut to secure, insert bolt M6-7380 with Loctite into counter holder.
  • Fix counter part. Check that is gap between nut and counter part(3).
  • Fit bolts only hand-tight. Tightening torque: 2Nm
Be sure to Loctite the thread on the keeper screw and don't white knuckle it - the 'counter part' is only there to stop the adjuster falling out when the wheel's not present and is not a vital part (Gilles even say that it can be left off!)

For a short while, you can find the new manual here.

Never had any problems with mine at all, they are a lot easier to work with both for the stand and chain adjusting:thumbup
