N/E Brum
Just returned from first bike trip to Germany. Bloody marvelous! Worst bit was Brum to Chunnel, every man and his dog was on road + accidents! Chunnel great and Bikers Loft in Belgium was excellent first stop. Then on to Cochem on the Mosel River - picture post card with bostin roads (too much for me). Trip upto Rhine was superb as was trip to ring. Sadly when I got there it was drizzling and after I bought my ticket it chucked it down. Under advice I stayed off the track - next time? Trip back home was OK 'til we got to M25, it rained + rained + then some more rain!
Germany was superb, as was the weather (most of the time!), the people, food and beer!
It was that good I'm gonna take other half for a week next year in the car. She'll love it and shouldn't argue when I tell her I'm going again on big black 'T'.
Bike was perfect apart from drinking petrol and a little oil. We did 1333 miles!
My thanks to the 5 other guys on the trip, they looked after this old codger!
If you're thinking about doing something like this you won't be disappointed with Germany - JUST DO IT!

100% agree, just done a near identical trip with 11 of us, we did get to do the ring, unlucky for me as I was hit by a swiss guy on a blade, I stayed on but he didn't. Full story on the AF1 site.

Love the Rhine/Mosel area:thumbup

:cheerswindy

Did that route on a ZXR400 quite a few years back - ached like buggery but as you say, the roads / scenery / people (and BEER !) were worth the pain.

Shame about the Ring, but you were right not to go round in the wet... i certainly wouldnt, but i hate rain !

Great "excuse" to go again.. oh, and well worth a mini cruise on the mosel.... few drinks, relax and take in the scenery....

Sounds ace lads. Think we need a more detailed thread /posty kind of thing to spur others on?
I got the bug just going to Assen for WSB this year. Want to do a biggy next year.:thumbup

yep...f*cking scary place for the un-initiated...I had the dubious pleasure of watching that blade slam into his side...

Germany though :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup....awesome...would move there tomorrow given half a chance
:cheers

Thanks for the link Windy. Scary stuff.

Tifa: Sounds like you *******s had an absolute ball. Some bloody good photos too. Geez, you messed that Blade up Windy.

I am totally green with envy.
