I know its a bit late in asking, but is any one up for a ride out on sat 12th Nov.

The weather on the BBC is favourable, but checking the interweb, might be an odd shower to avoid.

I am free for any of the usual routes, such as :-
Whitby
Or North Yorks
Or Weardale, Hartside, Teesdale
Or up North
Or anything else if you have a preference.

As long as it includes something to eat & an ice cream (if I am not too cold & wet)

Not sure about the protocol for this, but can I suggset a meet up in B&Q car park, Stockton, Portrack lane at 10:30 ish if you are free ?
 
would have loved to join you, but i will enjoying the joys of arthur christmas !!!! with my 6 year old . i will get out for a few hours hopefully Sunday , when it will not doubt piss down

I went out yesterday, not as far as I initially planned, just a good ride around the B roads of Co Durham.

Called at North East Motorcycles, Nevilles Cross, Durham & bought a decent aerosol of ACF 50 (£13.05). Not used it before, but most people seem to think its the best.

Came back & had a ride on the old Dominator (Honda, not the wife).

I bought it to go green laning, but so far I have not done much. I think I should have bought a scruffy one & I might be more tempted.

I am not really bothered, its nice & relaxing to chug around on.

Got out today , very short trip up the coast road and back , cold , wet and slippy but still better than being stuck in . Like Domi as you say looks a bit too nice for off roading though .

sorry about yesterday but i have had no internet access all weekend and just read the post, wish i had known as i was at a loss what to do so had a run up the hill to look for a winter hack and only bought a coffee
 
You should have come out, filled up at a petrol station with topless visor wipers.

Cant remember where it was though.
 
Aye, its easy to get carried away to come round a corner & find the road is a bit slippy.

Wet patches where the sun does not reach combined with loads of wet leaves certainly focusses the attention.

Never mind all those eejits hell bent on spending all their christmas money clogging the roads up.

weather forecast is dry for the weekend so hows about trying to get a run out at some stage, even if we get an hours riding and a chin wag will be worth it. willing to meet anywhere North East as I am in the middle (Horden) let me know
 
I am up for it Brooksy,
I am from Wingate, so anywhere you want. Free all day sat. As long as its not raining.
Additionally I am off tomorrow (friday) & monday, using a few holidays before the end of the year.
Free for a ride out those days as well.
The missus is at work so I am free to do what ever I want (within reason)
Just checked the forecast for sat & it does not look too bad, no rain.

I kept the T on the road this winter, so hopefully I will get a few days out.
So far the weather is not too bad, but there is a long way to go yet.
 
hows about meeting around 11ish somewhere to give the temperature a chance to pick up obviously the meeting point would depend on where we head. any ideas?
i,m thinking meet at Durham (North East Motorcycles) and head to Barnard Castle !

I am sure others will tag along if its as dry as predicted.
