Genuine RSV-R?

hi guys im new here, just got my 2001 mille a couple of weeks ago, its the R version with the ohlins.

but! i have done some looking on the internet and all the Specs for the R version have the newer style of axial brembo calipers and wind deflectors.

mine doesnt.... my question is, is there a way to tell if it is a genuine R verion? frame number?

also my dash lights up green all the other rsv's and R's are red?

any help would be nice

i'm thinking you most likely have a late registered 2000 model

98-2000 rsvr axial brakes no wind deflectors

2003 rsvr wind deflector and radial brakes this was the first production bike to have radial brakes apparently

maybe someone changed the bulbs.... there are 2 colours of dash lights over the years and for the life of me i cant remember if my 2000 model is green

It is m8, early Gen 1 bikes including the 'R' had green backlighting on the display. Later bikes were all a red/orange colour. :thumbup
