Hi all, on the gen2s , the two sides of the radiators has a rectangle shape silver/shiny kind of strip that looks like it's glued on .
Does any one know where I can buy one please ? I've trawled through 30 pages on ebay and nothing . It's just that one day ,last year, I parked the bike up on uneven ground and when I went back to the bike it had toppled over scratching that shiny rectangle piece .
Cheers
John. :clap

Don't forget the adhesive strip to fasten it on with...only another £7
You'll find it may have a different finish to the original...when I bought my replacement, mine came with a 'satin' finish, rather than the highly polished.

e3, jist take them off they only slow you down. :yes

Brooksy, maybe me being thick..

I,m trying to find the bushes that hold the steering damper in place.... i cant find em on that site, or anywhere else... any help pal ??

I was wandering if I needed the adhesive strip , blimey so that's £39 +vat probably just for that tiny thing ! I'm wandering if to just rub it down and just repaint it .

*******s...

Reet, problem is, theres a LOT of play in the joint .. pos 19... cant believe its wear, more like something missing, but i,ll order that washer anyway.

Sounds like the damper bush is knackered, I've got an old damper in the shed should you want it.

You can get the double sided foam tape from any motor accessories shop, several meters of it for half that price!

has it got a decent bush ?

I'm not sure it has G.
Mine doesn't actually have a bush.
the rotational movement is checked by a rose joint which appears not to be serviceable.
If it's the up & down play, then it's an easy fix....you need to fit a small rubber O-ring between the main mounting washer and the rose joint. If you're stuck for a washer, let me know what dia you're after and I'll post a few over to you. I bought a big box of the bastids when I did mine.
