I set my ohlins to give more or less the same resistance as the OE sachs unit. (make a note of number of clicks)
Then fitted it.
Get the front end in the air, and turn from lock to lock, make sure everything feels nice and smooth.
No notchiness or tight spots.
You should not feel any resistance at the bars as such.
When on the road, if you feel it's getting a little lairy, just give it another 'click' up.
Remember, as long as you make a note of your base settings you can always go back if you don't like it.
Don't overtighten anything, the mounting fasteners ISTR are 10Nm? Which is not much.
Don't forget to use loctite 243 (blue) when you chuck it all in.
