I've just returned from a bike trip to Luxembourg (brilliant by the way) where I bodged a tank bag solution - metal strips gaffa taped to the tank allowing me to use a magnetic tank bag which worked really well as it has done on previous trips.
The problem is I have removed the tape and its taken off what appears to be the lacquer/plastic coating over the paint as well as some of the paint below.
I wondered whether anyone else has had a similar problem and if there was a fix other than replacing the tank.
