As per the title, I have got 2 Gen 2 engines that have both been converted to fit a Gen 1 and run the Gen 1 electrics. The stator's have been changed and the early came covers fitted with the camera sensor, both run spot on and I will give a 30 day guarantee. Looking for £400 each.

Cheers Mark

Any pics Mark and info on millage of engines? did the original stators burn out on these ones or was that just preventative?

Tempted but the stator thing puts me off. Any chance you want to break one of them? If yes may be interested in the heads.

I will get some pictures tomorrow, the stator was swapped so it can be run with Gen 1 electric. Milage is 14500, make me an offer on the heads, if it's enough I will sell separate.
Cheers Mark

I'm still thinking about this Mark, the heads by themselves does not work for me, it's too close to the whole motor cost and still have the trouble of fitment/timing.

Gen1 stator - understood, but did you also fit a Gen1 flywheel? The Gen II flywheel has the wrong number of teeth for the position sensor on a Gen1 bike.

Unclear if a modified Gen1 valve cover is supplied or the Gen2 just left on, from what I understand you need to use the Gen1 cover(grinded a little) in order to fit the airbox back on a Gen1 bike. Can;t remember but think it's just the front cover

I guess 4-bolt header system would be necessary & then a little fabrication to get existing cans to fit.
Any chance you have some 4-bolt headers that could be used & any cheap Irish shipping method to sweeten the deal?

Everything has been done so this is a straight swap into a Gen 1,
Flywheel
Stator
Valve covers changed and cam sensor fitted.
I have got a set of 4 stud headers aswel, I am sure we can come to some agreement with the shipping.

Cheers that clears it up, I'm gutted that we can't haggle in a 1102cc upgrade as well...any pics of the motors in question?

I'll sleep on it tonight and have a look at it again in the morning, pictures may influence!

If I can't stop myself you'll get a ring Mark for sure

Hi Mark

My bikes in the garage at the minute, been told it's the Sprag and starter plus the clutch reservoir is leaking!! I was wondering if it would be cheaper just to get one of the engines instead of the €600 quote for parts( small snag I live in Ireland).
