High all. Looking for a double bubble screen for my gen 2 T. Also looking for Honda FIREBLADE sidestand, have been looking on eBay for couple of weeks, but can't find correct year. Can any one please help ?
Thanks

You could use a blackbird sidestand, fits the same and only needs a small hole drilling to mount the sidestand switch. Usually a good bit cheaper too

Thanks guys for help with sidestand. Managed to find a used one from breakers online, only £42 delivered. Was happy with that !
Happy dayz

Hi all.
I keep seeing people asking for Blade or Blackbird student stands.
I have no idea what the advantage is. Can someone tell me please.

Original stands on Gen 1 & Gen 2 (for Europe) have a shallow angle, meaning they are not very stable. USA versions, plus other designs (e.g. Fireblade, Blackbird) are longer, and kick out at greater angle from the bike, making then more stable. Some of us live with the original stands, but care is needed as some folks have apparently had bikes fall over under heavy winds, or on uneven ground, etc.

Hi Paul D
Thanks for the help.
Did a bit of research and the part number for those who need it is 50530-MEL-000
You can buy from Aprilia Performance direst or David Silver but I've found We Moto is a bit cheaper.

It's said that if rear tyre goes down while on stand bike can topple over to, my 09 has had a flat but was ok , I also give l/h handle bar a pull to settle bike down when parked on iffy ground?? never had a problem with mine , owned from new . Good luck , hear you might have to drill a B/Bird std.

Yes the side stand is a design fault that should have been corrected before the bikes were released. I have a Honda stand on mine but still went to the trouble of carefully heating it with an oxy and bent it to the perfect angle. Had to rub it back and repaint it but now it looks unaltered and as good as new.

Best part is now I never have to carefully select a spot to park nor do I have to worry how windy it is.
