Gen 2 '04 silver - what car colours a good match?

Hi

just a thought, anyone with an '04 gen 2 silver ever noticed its nearly/exactly the same colour as a ford/vw/toyota something or other?

Have a new fairing for the track bike and want to spray it silver/grey to match the still original tank/paint scheme (old fairing/tail unit is blue/white and getting tatty ) but as its a track bike would rather get a few cans from halfords than pay extra for exact code matched paint - that way I won't be quite so pissed off when/if it suffers some gravel rash.

Being a track bike I can't ride around car parks looking for something similar and only have the tank in the original silver so can't easily take that with me to compare colours.

Do halfords have a colour chart you can take away?

Maybe try these guys: KAWASAKI PAINT, HONDA PAINT items in BIKECOLOURS store on eBay!

Hi Chris, I have just bought exactly the same bike / colour as a Trackday bike this year.
What mods are you thinking of..?
I've had the map 2 done, power commander fitted (but not dyno'd yet) pipes cored, and have started to remove all the road bits.

Hi Dr_D, have visited the sites but put of by the £15 a can for the paint - was hoping to get something from halfords for half that. Could buy one exact match spay up something small and use that to find the right car colour.

Mine has full akra's incl big bore carbon cans.
evo air box
gas flowed head
PC3
Diamond racing Rear sets
full set of R&G bungs/can protectors
No idea on the power as work was done previously and didnt come with any graphs but it's easily fast enougth for me.
