with the seperate areas I think all you guys with gen 2's will soon forget the stock from which they came and the poor relative (gen 1) will fade nto oblivion.
Remember that the Gen 1 gave birth to the spirited bike we all love, in any form.
soon, maybe, the V4 will phase out them both on this forum?

nah, nae chance. Too many oot there tae gie us a T2 owners a kick up the erse whin we need it

seems like it's gonna cause an "us and them" scenario. I know from the time i was on the forums in their original format that all the guys were united and ready to give advice on THE APRILIA TUONO. most had been owners of both gen1 and gen2 and there was never any sense of difference..but now it's a hassle when u have to dip into both forums to see what's going on.

Hello lads! Long live the Gen 1's. I was in Taz today, they have 3 for sale in there I think, cracking bikes :D

Meh. I think that Piker is full of ****. As mentioned prior, the differentiation is just to allow folks riding one type or the other access to information appropriate to the bike they ride without having to wade through a load of posts that have nothing to do with them. I think that we can all get along and I for one intend on reading posts in the Gen I area.

I agree with Piker on this one though. I much preferred it when there was one option. I'm a Generation 1 owner through choice as its the racing version and I could have had a Gen 2 for the same price but liked the look of all the carbon etc on the Gen 1 Racing. Mind you I think a lot of questions posted are relevant to both bikes. Tyres and general small talk etc etc. Just found it easier to get around the other site but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Mine is just that it was easier to navigate. Sometimes more complicated isn't better

I usually use the "what's new" button anyway, so it makes little difference which area you post in.

This argument was made when AF1 introduced the gen 2 area back in 06, if you check over there you will see that Tifa, (AF1)Windy, Nob and myself post in both as do a few who aren't on here, Twin4me, and not to forget Araihead.

Lets face it, once the tyre thread, the screen thread, the fuel tank/mileage thread and the (for fecks sake ) mirror thread are all started, they just roll on for ever.

We should just go along with it for now, if they recover the data from the old forum, this lot will all disappear again.

Yip, I just click 'new post' and I gotta admit it gets easier to get around on here. The 'go advanced' is a pain in the arse. Still think it would be 'nicer' if we just had 1 T forum though. Another thing is, one of the lads has been asking me about coring cans. I've got tonnes of picks and always intended to do a step through on coring but its too risky yet.

shovel's prob right..i hope i am i am full of ****. i guess we shud b grateful that the admin guys got the forum up and running in any form.
as bat' and nob says..the what's new button will show all areas..so hopefully we will all keep in touch and guys like bat' will keep giving great advice to gen 1 guys as they did before.
i know that i owe a lot to the guys who gave advice on here. i had a great folder of shortcuts to really useful threads from last set up...will miss them. so please be gentle with me when i post a query which was probably explained very well in old forum.

Personally i like the 2 forums i got sick of posts about the old slow bikes all the time

And if I get bored its easy just to jump over and have a look

it seems there is some snobbery with some gen2 owners eh?...dynamo mite need the few extra horsepowers to keep up with guys who can actually ride their bike. he's prob' a straight line rider...or maybe he jus needs the bragging rights down the pub eh?
in any case i thought this was a forum for all fans of the Tuono....never read anyone put gen1 down on last forum.

i jus bin punk'd!

***..i fell 4 that one dynamo...i'm def too atached to my bike..DOH!...lol

I'M SUCH A PLONKER
