Gen 1 key button

My 2003 RSV1000 Mille came to me with 4 keys, three plain and one with a button.
I don't believe there is an alarm or immobiliser fitted so what is the button for?

Pictures will be a problem until weekend as the key and I are currently 100 miles apart

According to the parts manual security was fitted from aprilia (my 2001 has an led alarm light next to the brake light) some others had an led on the dash. Chances are someone removed over the 17 years because of poor starting/electrical/ faults etc

You can see the anti theft next to the rear light..... perhaps the 2000 had something similar ?

Either a third party alarm has been on there in which case they did you a favour in ripping it out or more likely it's just a non oem key blank from a key shop.
