I wouldnt possibly try to explain the specifics all i know is that it gets rids of the flat spot 5-6k and really is worth doing..

worth doing all day long ...google redratbike modded collector you should be able to the dyno sheets etc from my tests
How do I order one of these? would I be able to fit to a standard bike with Remus and K & N?

It's just a scavenge loop , it uses pressure waves in the exhaust pulse to draw the gas from the cylinder ,whilst sending low pressure waves back to seal the fresh cool mixture in the cylinder
