Futura or Falco???

Alright guys n gals........i finally surrendered to my neighbour and sold him my Speed Triple (he's been on at me for about 6 months now!!) .I'm soon to be moving station due to a promotion and will more than likely be stationed in the city centre (Edinburgh) and refuse, point blank, to sit in traffic.

SO.......in keeping with the Aprilia family have decided to have a look (and go on) both the Futura and the Falco as a replacement. Anyone one had either or recommend one more than the other?? OR.... should i be looking at something else as a fun/commuter/tourer ????????

If i had to pick out of the 2 id pick the Falco, but then if your only using it as a commute id go smaller and dare i say it......jap crap :eek::thumbup

If it was me id go the 600 route as they are small and nippy and insurance is peanuts, but then im one of them practical fools :biggrin:biggrin

yeah for me it would be a pegaso for the commute supermoto nice and high to see over the mongs that are gonna pull out on ya. however if its to be your sunday tool as well it would be the falco :thumbup

I had a falco as well as the mille and I sold the falco as it wasn't as good as the mille, also I found it less comfy than the mille.
It was nice to ride but didn't make me smile in the same way.
 
If i wanted a second bike (and could afford it) I would go for a pre 2001 Bandit 1200 - I know JAP CRAP :roll.
You get the same milage from a tank as the Mille and theyre a hoot to ride :pirate
VERY reliable aswell for a commuter.

I would buy either a Bandit 600 and save a bit of cash to get a track bike or an old CBR600
 
If I was in the market for a characterful naked to complement my Mille, I'd go for a ... Speed Triple (sorry).

If your commute is less than about 30 miles (really uncomfortable seat) go for a KTM Duke - loads of fun (especially if you 'hop it up' a bit) nice and high to see whats going on, really light, stops great, loud as fook (if you change pipes) so peopel can hear you coming. Ideal city bike.
