Fuel range with light on??

Hi anyone know roughly how far you can get after the fuel light comes on? Was out last night for my first run and on the way home the light came on, not sure how many miles I'd done but got plenty of smiles :biggrin Just curious as to how far I can risk it with the light on, cheers

I did 30 miles with light on - Gen 2, riden carefully tho' Still a drop left in when I filled her up.

I wouldn't risk more than 20 miles and that's nursing it. Mine usually comes on after 90 miles and I do no more than 100, if I can help it.

Gen2, 44 miles then it ran oot.

The light came on at 118 and ran dry at 162 miles

35 miles in London traffic and 15 liters went in so could do a bit more )))

Depending where you're at up here I'm generally no more than 20 miles from the pumps, (usually a run in the evening when most pumps at rural shops are shut) but worst case it would be about 40 miles with two ferry crossings involved, one 10 min ferry and one 20 min ferry

an I do mean worst case

As for how many pumps....... well I think there are 12 fuel stations but could be wrong

I'll try the trip meter on me next run an see what mileage I get from a tank.
