Fuel leak from cap? Help!

Every time I fill up my 07 RSV, fuel leaks out of the filler cap on to my jeans as soon as I lean the bike into a corner. Or, if I am going fast enough, it begins to seep out of the cap along the tank.

The cap seems to be closed. Thoughts?

have you mebbe over filled it?, happens to me sometimes.
or mebbe the rubber gaskit is not fitted well/not there?
Ck

either the drain hole that dumps fuel trapped around the cap is blocked or the cap seal is not working. There have been a few instances of seal problems.

I have / had the same problem...the dealer told me to just not fill it up as much!! What a dumb ***...but it did work!:thumbup

Make sure the overflow tube isnt clogged up.

Happened to me last week. Was going for long ride out so i brimmed it. Stopped for a cuppa before we set off and noticed it was leaking when on side stand, over a red hot engine!!
Ran it for a while to get the fuel down then cleaned the rubber seal around the top.
Guess the answer is not to fill it to the top

I had this on my 04 factory fixed it by puting another rubber seal on the cap so there were 2 seals on it made it a little harder to close but it never leaked again

maybe i have a little of the same problemo!:devious
not actually leaking or anything but always makes me smell of petrol when i've been riding her. may be due to the heat in summer? Expansion... ETC....
Fumes escaping from filler cap i suspect, does this sound familiar to anyone else?
maybe i need a new rubber seal!!!:confused
