fuel leak again

hi peeps,

Now my second tank is leaking fuel:angry :rant, before i take a tank to be welded up could someone with a early 2000 or older bike possibly post a pic of their front mounting point where the tank bolts to the frame. I'm intersted to see what, if any, blocks or rubber mounting points there are.

The tank doesn't bolt direct to the frame.

The 2 mounting holes on the front of the tank have rubber grommets in them.

The bolts hold the tank through these(grommets).

Have a look at parts #6 & 7 on this exploded view. There are rubber grommets, and alloy spacer bushes.
It can be zoomed.

Thanks guys, guess i had better order some.
I have found a company that will repair my tank for £40 so I will take the original tank to them tomorrow & when that is done I will get that on the bike & have the other one repaired to keep as a spare.

Tank mount

Bolts through rubber grommets

Thin ally plate shown fits on first then tank with rubber grommets as said by Pagan. The ally plate keeps the clutch and brake cable together on the L/H side.

nice pics sprocker, thanks. as mine does not have anything other than bolts that is the most likely cause. will try and order the bits today.
