frustrated new owner

howdy all. thought i had better stop lurking and say hello.

my story so far.

I am the frustrated owner of an 03 tuoldo, bought it last september after a short test ride. My first warning should have been the sidestand cutout switch falling off and killing the engine on the ride home... then the bugger decided that it was far too cold out for its dainty italian wheels and so ensued hours with a multimeter sorting out the previous owners dodgy soldering and fitting a new battery... great thinks i, it starts. i can ride it. now why do i feel like a nodding dog braking up to the lights? off with the front wheel do the petals mod to the discs but not before having to chisel a bolt disc off... that was yesterday... obviously this morning the sun was shining...

so thats my experience of owning a tuono... not good. so could someone please explain to me why my cheeks hurt after i finally get to ride the thing? they are infectious! i even like the flat spot at 6k cos after that it goes like a scalded cat and i cant stop giggling!

I will save the obligatory newbie questions until after i have researched.

one thing though. where can i get my hands on some break disc rotor bolts? can anyone reccomend a decent supplier?

thanks all

tom

Welcome R, not the best of starts as you say, but stick with it and you'll get yer rewards x times over.

If you want stainless then Stig's Stainless sell them - look at the ducati ones they are the same.

If you just want a stock one any dealer should have them - the brakes are Brembo so bits from Dukes and Guzzi's will be the same.
