I have pilot powers on mine and noticed yesterday after rubbing my hand over the front tyre that the surface feels very uneven. Perhaps thats why it feels a little strange tipping it into corners. It feels like it is squared off but it's not, it feels lumpy when running your hand across it.
Does anyone else have this problem of the tyre wearing unevenly??

Was going to take it to a tyre fitting place and ask there advice. I've never had this happen with a front tyre before:confused

Oh and i have checked the tyre and it was made in spain and not france so wont be on a recall from michelin!

Is it feathering badly at the edges?

If yes then I had a front Bridgestone BT014 do that a few years ago and it was replaced by them FOC.

What is feathering mate?? It's not worn on the edges it is across the middle.
it feels very uneven and even i know it should not be like that. Could it be because the bike has been ridden to hard by the previous owner or is it just tyre wear??
It feels like the 50 pencing effect you sometimes get on car tyres if you know what i meanbut a lot larger bumps.

Would be worth me contacting michelin???

Sounds like the blocks of the tread are not wearing evenly.

Could be down to being abused but I doubt it.

Take some piccies and email Michelin, they can only say no mate.

Its a front tyre. its WORN out. They never wear out the tread, they go off. Knocking out the shoulders. I have minced three front hoops now, and the last couple of occasions the tyre dudes tried telling me it was not worn out... as in lots of tread in the wrong place. Rubbing your hands over them it felt all bumpy... ie. ******.

It's fooked then!!!!

Next question is where's the cheapest place i can get a replacement as it's been some time since i have purchased tyres for a bike!

Uneven tyre wear

What this sounds like is caused by consistently low tyre pressure, causing abnormal flex of the carcass and more focused weight on only certain parts of the tyre. If the blocks seem to wear in a wedge shape, I say this is the culprit. I have seen this many times.

Watling tyres - £215 fitted. 2CTs. Had three sets now. In the wet they ******* rock, and they last for ages. When they go off tho they do over night. Mine have just (today.. after a medium speed spin) gone to ****.
