Front Right Caliper Leaking

Hi All,

As the title suggests, my front caliper has a wee leak, its not gushing but the disc is covered in brake fluid.

I have managed to get hold of a set of seals from Mode Performance, from their display caliper as they didnt have a gold caliper in stock.

They did say that Brembo dont sell the seals on their own and u have to buy a new caliper, is this the case ? If so, Brembo are a bunch of __________, fill in the gap.

My real question is, is it a difficult job to fit new seals properly as I have a 2500 mile trip staring on saturday and the seals will only arrive tomorrow, so any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers, George.

There was a scooter shop on the bay selling brembo seals a couple of years ago , can't find out who it was
But just a FYI thing

Calliper seals are usually a piece of cake to replace. Calliper off, pump out the piston, swap the seal, lubricate piston with brake fluid, push piston back in, calliper back on then bleed. Few things to remember; don't stress the brake lines while you're doing the job, keep everything scrupulously clean while you work, keep all fluid well away from painted surfaces, don't get your fingers in the way while you pump out the piston.
Never done these Brembos but it can't be too different.
Good luck.

KTM sell the equivalent Brembo seals - on most Ducati/Guzzi forums.
