Usually happens when your sat on the bike and moving forwards, doesn't it? :eatcorn

I bet it happens just after you pull that right lever too! :roll

yeah yeah......spose i asked for that one but .....

and this is a but........

Got a 05 mille from a friend of mine martin who gets the shudder when the forks are unloading after breaking.....work that one out!!

gettin to me i gotta be honest.....

,,, how long does it last?... stiction maybe?

Has it had the fork oil changed recently?

Would have a stab at incorrect oil levels or a valve issue?

Or perhaps the oil in it is so old it's like turned to glue?

sorry should have exxplained under rather hard braking and i think worse on bumpy surfaces......but theres also a donk...when the front is put down after a bit of mono fun which i will i do not do as a rule rather go quick round corners than look good weeliein...

Or is it the rear shock not allowing the weight to transfer back?

Had a similar issue with mine, traced it to my rear linkage siezed up!!

The arse end just wouldn't drop under any circumstances.

Hey Griff, hope they arnt another set like Andy's Sp ones,Gulp, but regards the one your on about, nothing out of line or twisted causing it,it could be there on compression but is less notisable when breaking because of the weight of the rider, but on rebound its down to the spring? dunno just an idea

have you checked your sag setting's since the problem? maybe its hitting bottom out stops and bouncing off that?... just a shot in the dark!

I would have to go with head bearings mate, they do come loose if you lift the front up!!!

I'm having a similar problem under hard braking (when it's not fricking raining) I'm just thinking that it's due to the fact I am 13kg heavier than the bloke who I brought it from and he had it all set for him:dunno
Just hope it's not an expensive problem as I'm all spent ot after buying the bike plus torque wrench's etc

im thinkin complete fork rebuild and uprated springs with new wavey discs should cure the problem......if not rear shock next........

Before you go spending big money mate have you checked the wheel bearings are OK and spin over smoothly?

Do all the calliper pistons operate correctly?

Loads to check before spending dosh on bits!

Got exactly the same problem. Griff is looking at it for me. He said it could be the rear. Mine is too low at the back and the bushes are creaking like an old mans hip! He is also going to check the head bearings. Will be glad when its sorted as it was not riding well. All the shocks have been rebuilt and the brakes are seemingly ok so it should be easy to rectify

That was my initial thought as front end juddered under light breaking and got worse under heavier braking. We looked at the bike and with the lever just on and virtually no braking force nothing was coming through the lever, suggesting the brake disks were ok. The damper was wound up too much and the rear shock issue was also evident. It will be interesting to see what it is

Had a similar symptom with my Futura a couple of weeks back, checked the disc and bobbins, checked the pistons and calipers, put in new pads, still there, replaced front wheel bearings and the problem was gone, they did not have any play in them, but when turning the spindle you could feel all the bearings, they are only about £8 so well worth replacing:thumbup

New disks it is. More cost but bike will be mint when i get it back. Full tune up, service, suspension set up and brakes should transform it as well as the extra 15bhp griff said hge had liberated as engine was well out of tune:doug

lads thankyou for your wisdom......im going down the bearing route befor discs and fork rebuild....many thanks.......
