Right Guys ..... who's up for a free pint ????? But ya gotta earn it.

I will be at Yaxley for the Aprilia day .......

My fookin service light is on and has been for ages, tried the manual idea ..... its bollox ..... still on. Someone must have the magic touch. The bikes an 04 model.

Fairly sure that year is the same procedure as mine, press both the + and - buttons down THEN switch the ignition on and hold for 15 seconds or more, the manual says. Mine cleared quicker than that though. Hope that sorts it, hopefully see you on the 12th for my pint!! :cheers
 
my old shape means you press the lap timer/quick high beam button and hold r button down, if am wrong then am willing to take the hassle. Free beer though, worth a go

Tried that mate ...... service light still merrily glowing away ...... :dunno

Beginning to think the instrument cluster is faulty :eek:

Still ..... I'll still go along with the beer idea ....... :thumbup
 
Ah theres a trick to this mate

Get a 2lb hammer and smash fcuk out of it until the whole display has gone, ya wont see that service light again :thumbup

I think you may have the same problem I have......The manual states as RSVDave suggests: 'To cancel the "SERVICE" warning, turn the key ON while holding down the + and - buttons at the same time for at least 15 seconds'. Sounds great but you have to use the same + & - buttons to re-set the clock & the - button on my dash seems to have disappeared as I can't re-set my clock no matter how I attempt to push,prod & tickle the buttons...so I don't know what I'll do when the service light comes on........Perhaps Little1's suggestion may be the way forward!
