found in belly pan

While fitting a replacement shock on my bike I found this in the belly pan & couldn't find a home for it:confused
Any ideas anyone? All I can say is that it appears to be a rubber bump stop of some kind.

yeah, it goes in end of aluminium tube on one of the bolts on front sprocket cover, think it supports side panel (if u push panel?)

are you sure its not the grommet that goes in between the fairing and engine whilst sitting on the bike look down to you right .

Take the left hand side panel off and it fits on the alloy tube roughly where your knee should be. Keeps the side panel supported away from the engine.
