so far iv fitted the de-baffled original... too heavy... & too quiet @ idle but rumbles the more you rag it !! :eatcorn

fitted a GP exhaust... very light... but too fecking 'LOUD' all the time... like ear burstingly loud !!

Aprilia RSV Ti... sooooooooooo light... still to loud though... though not as ear splitting as the GP one !! :devious

so i bought a Quill T3 can from a VFR... road legal with race sound after 3000rpms... for £30... & a link pipe for £45 to suit from P.J. Engineering... & iv just fitted it !! :inlove

sounds quite quiet @ idle... but louder than the standard one with a nice taunt throb... lol... then all hell breaks loose when revved... though not as loud as the Ti one !! :doug

going to get it dynoed this Sat... & see what happens !? :thumbup

surprising how good the stock can is compared to the gp style can.

i have a GP can on mine, similar to yours, but shorter without the small link pipe.

on the back side dyno, it feels miles faster.

must just be the noise:thumbup

this was my dyno chart for GP can...

Standard = Red
GP baffle in = Blue (terrible)
GP baffle out = Green (oodles more torque 4-6000rpms)

might aswell stick the Standard (Red) vs RSV Ti (Blue) on aswell !! :eatcorn

De-baffled Standard does very well... & i think it looks cool... ... just a shame its sooooooooooooo heavy & toooooooooooooo quiet !! :roll

yup

just proves where i spend most of my time in the rev range :biggrin

the arse dyno does seem to work then:thumbup, feels so strong with the GP style can on, which is obvious now you have a dyno sheet showing where it's strongest

cheers dude
Kev

just a little update... the Quill T3 'feels' very strong... much stronger than all the other cans iv put on... it 'feels' around 5bhp more through the rev range & about 5ft-lbs torque aswell... although in reality its probably more like 2bhp & 2ft-lbs... lol !! :biggrin

the only way i can explain it is like when i changed from a 17T to a 16T front sprocket... seriously... the throttle response just keeps making the front end feel very light... much more than a few days ago with the standard can !!

its not even the noise... cos its not overly loud !! :dowhat

so dyno booked for Sat morning... knowing my luck it will probably be my imagination... & be less than the standard one on paper... lol !! :biggrin

well my arse dyno proved correct !!

the Quill T3 seems to blend all the benefits of both the Standard & Ti cans... has the edge over the stronger standard can... then has the edge over the stronger midrange of the Ti... then follows the top end of the standard again... although cant beat the top end... again !! :biggrin

anyways... iv given up trying different exhausts... im keeping the quill & il be selling the Standard (too heavy)... & il get the Ti repacked as its lost all of its wadding... & maybe il re-dyno it sometime in the future !! :devious
