Just asking if anyone has done this or any advise on it please guys. I'm taking my bike in to get the front left fork seal replaced, the guy at the shop is an Aprilia dealer and suggested I get them both done which I agreed with, but then said replace them with Yamaha seals as Yamaha own Ohlins and they fit:dunno Has anybody else used these seals, or heard of anyone doing this, I know I should trust the dealer but it's just niggling me, if they only last 2 mins I'd rather pay the extra for the Aprilia ones.

I think your dealer means fit Yamaha Ohlins fork seals that are listed with a Yamaha part number. They are the same seal just much cheaper than the Aprilia labelled ones

Yamaha/Ohlins, Same company now

Gsxr K4 seals are a good alternative. Double lip so last much longer if your a high mileage/ all year round rider.

It's dirt more than wear that usually kills the Ohlins seals as the 1 lip is holding back the oil and getting all the crap that gets past the dust seal as well.

Cheers fellas thats put me mind at rest:thumbup, Spoonz just out of interest the k4, is that the 1000?
