Fork seal

Had a great day today over Hawes, Leyburn and Devils Bridge, until my front left fork seal went, gutted I only picked the thing up on Monday:angry I'm getting fixed for free however, it wont be done untill the 15th of this month, I'm not going out thrashing it anywere however I do need to get to work. This has never happened to me before I'm I been a :jack or will it be ok a couple of times untill it gets fixed, both seals are been replaced.

Fork seals on the Ohlins are known to regularly fail, replace them with good old GSX-R seals....

I was using the K6 for about 2 week before it went in for fixing. Just take it steady you should be OK

I've spoken to petit france in Redcar there putting yamaha ohlin seals in there apparantly the same as Aprilia but only 8 quid a shot, my arse went today Bear as soon as you and Suggy pointed it out, I think it happened when I slammened on for the sheep

You got it the wrong way round Legs, the sheeps arse went when it saw me, she was a beauty as well lovely brown eyes and pursed lips....:inlove ooops sorry forgot were I was lol

When I was hunting around the dealers for an Aprilia. Everyone I saw had the seals leaking, of course the dealers said that would be rectified when sold.But me being a cynical sod thought, why put a bike in a showroom with obvious faults...Ended up buying mine 60 miles from home, as I couldn't find a decent one locally.
This had 1300 mile on and 5 months old, have clocked up another 10k on that and touch wood my seals still intact..Now I've posted this they'll probably pop on next outing.....:roll

Thats better than the £50 for the seals Premier quoted

Yeh but its because they qouted Aprilia seals, not Yamaha, we'll what there like when I get them:dunno, I've got to get the suspension sorted though, like Assa said if it's bottoming it wont help, it's putting more pressure on them. I'm a bit weary of doing it incase I balls it completely, plus if a specialist does it and finds a problem I'll get it sorted for nought.:devious
