hi all
ive got an 08 millie with ohline front forks which im bottoming out on trackdays with all adjusters as hard as they will go.
i am about 19 stone!!!!
the bike has done a few miles for its age so planing on changing oil but uping it a grade.
anyone no wot grade of oil is standered and how much per leg is standered????
cheers in advance
big john

mate you need better springs for starters as there for a 12stone rider as standard.

you will need 20w and 500mil per leg if you go oil only as standard is likely to be around 10w-15w as they dont list it just say 5w-20w

a re-valve and springs and proper service would be best but that will cost a few hundred at kais maxton etc

the ohlins forks need 2 yr service too so that should help if the oil is old
hth

springs are the way to go but expensive and i dont get too use the bike as much as id like!! so thought id put heavier oil in first.

As posted idearly , respring the front with 1- 1.5kg springs will get the front correctly sorted ...

:rantdont eat so many pies mate ,sounds like your oil levels low like mine i was 120 ml short in each leg and oil was like piss i could get mine to bottom out on the smallest of lifts or even if i pushed it and braked .after a good clean and drip dry overnight fresh oil rebuild 5w oil i used as did the last owner when they were done at ktech , im 12 stone + 4 pies job done went for a spin all was good till i found a hump in the road up i went ,down it came boof the biff had landed lol ,was much better than before but still could get it to bottom out if im over enthusiastic on the lifts .going to try 10-15w next time soon that should cure it.my balls have healed now and it handles way much better than it was so my next re-oil should sort it out once and for all i hope .:thumbup
