Do you track your bike as well? I spoke with a well known suspension company (K-Tech) and they reckoned that as standard suspension goes the showa stuff is very good - I run stiffer springs in my showas for the track and they work spot on (just as well as my ohlins do on my road bike). I guess it's personal preference again and if the money for is spare then why not, if you're a competent fast road rider you'll feel the difference - how much of a difference ?? thats subjective.
