For Sale Ad Guidelines.

No Auctions are to be held in the For Sale Forum, name your price and see how it goes, you can always drop the price later on if necessary.

Replies Reply to threads in the For Sale Forum only if you are genuinely interested in the item or have legitimate questions. This will avoid unnecessary confusion and hard feelings.

Trader Ratings Use the trader rating system that is in place. Use it fairly. If you were left a neutral or a negative and you deserved it, live with it. Do not retaliate with a similar rating simply because you got one. (i.e If someone pays immediately - ship ASAP or live with a negative, if they paid immediately with no hassle leave a positive.) If no money was exchanged and you missed out, there was no trading. If there was an exchange of goods or money - it was a trade.

If an item is sold the seller must edit the heading with **SOLD**

Disputes If you have a problem with some of the replies in your thread and you feel they don't meet the guidelines contact one of the moderators.

Buyer beware The For Sale Forum is setup for your convenience only. RSVZone does not even begin to proclaim this space as being a safe haven for buyer/seller transactions, and cannot be responsible for the inevitable disputes that will arise from its existence. You, and you alone can gauge the trustworthiness of the person you are dealing with in the big scary world of the internet. Good luck.

Still think you should add the following, If an item is sold the seller must edit the heading with **SOLD**, just a thought :)

Also think that if an item is being sold and the seller in touch with one or two potential buyers they should maybe contact both to let them know the situation before finally selling, this happend to myself today as I was quite hopeful to recieve an exhaust and chip but to be let down without a chance to respond :dunno

This all sounds very complicated! How will it be policed ;)

I thought the idea was to put down some basic guidelines and keep everything simple! We don't need a mini-ebay here.

Rob :)

It seller discretion and they can sell to whom they want but just to keep people in the right to where they stand, I genuinely was looking forward to a new can maybe for weekend but that's that shaggec now, not a happy chappy, maybe it's just me but I recently sold an exhaust and had 3-4 people wanting it I kept everyone in the loop as to price shipping and interest and contacted all once sold, I just think its common sense and courtesy :)

I know exactly what you mean.

It would be nice to think that everyone you deal with would have the same (or better) standards than you do (especially those who obviously have the same great taste in bikes) .... BUT (sadly) they don't. :(

That's just life, I'm afraid, mate.

I don't think you can enforce those sort of common sense and courtesy standards on people who are using the for sale part of the zone.

Rob :)
