Many years ago, you used to get "jack up plates" for footpegs to allow more ground clearance
But if reversed, they allowed the pegs to go down and back ...

Does anyone know of anything like this for a tuono - not sure of I want full rear sets

Thanks

there is a bolt on plate conversion, i,ll have a poke around, i,m sure its a cheaper alternative...

I am getting some plates made up right now, if it goes well I can get a few done. I am modding a design from a mates TL1000S.

They are being made from aircraft grade ally, t6086 I think....the guys doing them make bits for the RAF so no quality worries.

If anyone interested will post some pics, will be a cheaper alternative to a full rearset job.

I just bought a great set from xt:Commerce 4.0 for my MV. I bought these as we are going on a 7 day 2000 tour in the Pyrenees and I get badly cramped on the MV, also got a gimpy left leg. £119 delivered in 3 days.

Adapters/Lowering brackets/Pegs all in a set.

Suggestion - go for a ride round the Derbyshire Peak District (just because its a good thing to do), then drop in at Griff's place in Tamworth and get the best rearsets going fitted. This will also give you a back brake that actually works. £250 fitted and a great day out.

Actually, go to Griff's first, you will enjot the ride so much more.

Fitted some ex M&P , from MFW . Said they were for the 1st gen but work ok on the 2!
Do what they say on the tin, so happy ...
Now explain Griff's rear sets?

I'm afraid if I google it I will get on lots of XXX mail!

Hi Mr M,

Glad you are sorted, happy riding. If you havent seen Griff mentioned on this forum, then you soon will as he is an aprilia guru. i doubt that you will see anything other than glowing reports. (apart from the competition!)

Griff is an ex chief Aprilia technician who now runs apriliaperformance in Tamworth. He is THE man for all things aprilia and a thoroughly decent chap as well. Google apriliaperformance and you will get his website. His rearsets are nicely adjustable and include relocation of the rear brake master such that the brake (which as you know is an optional extra on the Tuono), works properly.
I appreciate that Tamworth isn't too handy for Brighton, but he does go on tour with the workshop so if there are a few of you down there then you could work something out.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for that ...
I have heard his name ... he would appear to be to aprilia as Maz was to Buells ...
