Flooding RSVR 2001

I understand these motors are prone to flooding.
Does it get so bad, fuel pools in the collector however....? I's got it so that it weeps from the junction with the front header, and quite freely apparently ! This does seem excessive ?

That does sound rather scary, how are you trying to start it ?

Whats the recommended procedure with them then....?
No throttle, no choke ?

normal starting procedure is fast idle on (choke lever is not a choke) and no throttle.
If you flood it though its no choice but full throttle start. obviously let off once it fires.

Never had that - as above i normally full cold start, no throttle, fire up and gradually ease cold start off.

Full cold start and she fired first time this eve'. Damn they sound good !
Sadly, Im gonna have to build baffles to get thru trackday noise testing....:thumbdown
I was really hoping to avoid doing that......:biggrin
