You should PM Tash, he supplied my BMW sprag and a gasket very quickly and at a reasonable price. I didnt need to change anything else.

More often that no you don't need the housing and rarely the gear. Most sprag failures are spring (snapping/stretching) related on the sprag clutch itself rather than wear.

if you check what you need first you could save yourself lots of dosh.

Plus its a relatively easy job once you have done it once so I personally would just get the bearing & gasket, then if you need additional parts its easy to strip down and change.

I would however recommend oil & filter, seen as your dropping the oil you may was well do a small service while your on.

I bought a puller set from machine mart to get the fly wheel off, but needed to use a small extension bar through against the crank as the bolt on the puller wasnt long enough.

If your confused I will take some pics of what i used.

milleboy82, have you done a sprag before?..just been reading your thread and i'm worried you may be heading down a road of.."oh **** that wasn't suppose to happen" i'm pretty experienced with the job and if you email me i'll make it piss easy for you and i have the correct puller for the job..had it engineered..i can post you it to use...gez..
