Fitting of new tank

I bought a tank of E bay and wanted to fit it to mine but it is slightly different.

The tank has a fixing in it to take a panel but I dont know which panels are needed.

I have got some photos

This is what I have at the moment and below is the tank I want to fit so if anyone has either some black panels or carbon ones they wish to sell please contact me.

If no one has any just let me know which year or a photo of the correct sort of panel that needs to be fitted:dunno

Dunno if this helps at all if you look in my garage you will see I have two of those bikes where the tank came from (2003 Edwards Reps) both bikes came without panels fitted.

I did assume that the 03 tanks off a RSV Mille or RSVR would be the same as an Edwards Rep tank and any aftermarket panel for an 03 would have fitted?

Is your original Mille an 03?

edit actually just noticed it's not an 03 as the frame is not black.

Not sure if tanks from 02 or 01 are the same as an 03?

Mines an 02 but the tank looks as though different to yours:dunno

Unless it is off a 98 onwards :confused

Mick, that tank is from a new shape 2004 model black RSVR. It surely won't fit an earlier shape Mille

I doubt it Mick. With different frame spars, rear subframe and bodywork it'll be a job to make it fit i guess.

Scroll down a bit and there is an 04 Mille and on its tank there is an Edwards signiture on it............. wonder why?

I thought 03 was the only Edwards Bike?

Cheers for that guys will have to get back in touch with the guy who sold it as 04 tank and it is 04 unless any one here wants it:dunno

Ok Just found out the 04 Factory's came with the Edwards signiture and Haga signitures on the lower tank one per side ...... I never knew that. I thought only the 03 had the Edwards sig.
