Just about to purcahse a new 2015 caponord, I have two quotes from two different dealers. One quote for the fist service is half in comparsion to the oter. Can someone tell me more or less what is invovled with the first service and how much should it cost. Thanks

G'day ASROMA.....I'm an Aussie Capo owner with a new in 2015, but built in 04/14 Touring model. It now has 3,300km on it. My first service (1000km) cost $330.00 Aus but I asked for semi synthetic oil for this service (just how I run a motor in rather than a cost option). I'll change it again at 5000k and then switch to full synthetic at 10,000k. The dealer here reckons the 10k service will be approx $400, and the 20k is the big one where valve clearances are checked, so it might be about $800 (my guesstimate, not a quote) due to the hours involved.

I believe the first service is really oil and filter, upgrades to maps, and other secret Aprilia service bulletins, as well as a general check over. Until I learn more about the bike, I will be letting my local dealer do the work. I got to talk with the head mechanic and he was really good to me, and actually did the pre-delivery on mine. So I've not had any problems that appear to have plagued early models..... Cheers:)
