Yesterday I took the T up to a motor skills competition for police motor officers. I left with 7 of my departments motor officers at o-dark thirty up I-5 headed for Huntington Beach. Nice, my own police escort. They were riding in formation on their beemers. I was trailing by 50 yds. or so not feeling comfortable to be riding in tandem at 80mph. Damn, they are very good riders.
The competition was large. Some 300 officers competing. All of them very skilled. We left HB and came down the coast via PCH. All in all a fine day to put some mileage on the new bike. And on the trip back I felt comfortable enough to ride in formation. Admittedly looking a bit out of place on the Touno. The unit supervisor, a friend of mine rode the T and was duly impressed. But it can't carry all their gear so he can't use it on duty.
