After buying the T way back in October last year while I was recovering from a bike related broken collar bone and over winter " upgrading" if that's the right word as I've only changed the side stand to one from a blackbird, and the clutch oil jet mod. Apart from that really all I've done are checks to wiring, I've also got a left hand switch gear so I can have the lights turned off for starting, plus the indicator and horn buttons are better placed for me.
Well today, as I now have insurance and tax, I took it out for my first shakedown run. I've got my usual test route of 5 miles, this road includes a mile long straight ideal for top speed runs and most of the rest twisties.First impressions are favourable, of course, although on our rutted roads the suspension is a little harsh, I'll need more rides to decide whether adjustments are needed. After the short ride I looked for the oil in its sight glass, yes it's there, first time I've seen anything in there, although it's not much over minimum but I'm sure a longer ride and the temp up a bit more the oil level would be higher.
Next job, fill the tank and enjoy.
