Hello everyone, thort i would join here as im looking to buy a 2004 RSV in the near future. I currently ride a SV650S (no i dont commute :biggrin) just love Vtwin's,

I know the year (2004 new shape) i want but can anyone point me in a direction to see what colours they did for the year, ive seen the red n silver and the black n silver.

Mic.

Welcome to the forum.
They also did a complete silver one and red and black one just off the top of my head.

:thumbup The Blacker the Faster is the general rule. But Welcome mate.
Now the Priller is gonna feel a lil more uncomfortable than the SV mate, but the grin on your face will increase considerably! These buggers make you GRIN!:biggrin :scared  :thumbup

i live just outside cambridge, in a village next to bar-hill on a14, Taz motorcycles in peterbourgh have a 2007 demo RSV in at the mo, im taking it out on saturday, be my first go on one, the guy in taz said that its not to far a riding position from the 2004.

cant wait :biggrin

they have a 2004 red and silver in, 6K miles, seems over priced tho at £5200, but thats taz or any dealership 4 ya.

Welcome mate :thumbup

Paid £4800 for my 04 Red/Silver RSVR with 2.8k miles, FSH etc. £5200 sounds over the odds unless it has some nice extras or is a Factory.

Silver/Black looks nicer but Red/Silver is faster, ask anybody....:devious:biggrin:devious

Oh yes it does sound a little high unless its got a few nice extras,or if it is a factory then its damn cheep, but on the other hand if its in mint condition and its what you want then get it,they might give ya a real good px price...:biggrin

Oh so true THE DEAL is where it's at.....If it's right for you sod it, shake that hand and dip into your pocket!!! I nearly ripped the dealer's hand off when he offered me £2100 for my shagged 1999 R6:biggrin:thumbup:devious:biggrin

Shop around and be willing to travel - I picked up my mint '04 Factory in the early summer(?) for £4500.
There is a Factory on eBay at the moment for about £4700 I believe...

problem is its all bad timing for me, im gonna try to sell my sv private, got lots of extras that a dealership will not take into account when px'ing, im hoping at lowest £2500 private, but ive also just gone onto monthly pay after 10 years of weekly pay....mission. soon as the sv is gone il be on the look...

Winter is almost here so if you can hang on for a month or so I'd say you'll bag a bargain. I'd go for a Factory if you can find one mate. I didnt though :pirate

:biggrin:biggrin:biggrin Had my fgirst ride on one saturday, what a wkd bike!!!!! it was a 2007 tho, has olins front forks but other the bike is still almost the same a 2004 i think. Cant wait, my sv is going up for sale on saturday hopefully itl go quick n i can get on the look for a rsv :biggrin

does the 2004 black n silver one come with red wheels? if not think im prob gonna try for a red n silver one, guess tho il just have to see whats about once ive got the cash saved up.
