So I've had the new V4 for a week and done nearly 400 miles so far. Just trying to eke out the first 600 before my first service date or it'll just be sitting in the garage while I count down the days!
My first impressions - I LOVE IT :thumbup. Acceleration, braking, handling, looks (the black one), engine, noise, electronics all fantastic. It's hard to think of anything I could criticise about it. Er no, it's impossible. O.K. I could mention the tank range but so what, I'm not planning on going through a desert. I love the little touches too like the adjustable cams on the brake and gear levers, the flaired tank for my knees, the adjustable settings while moving. This bike is brilliant.
Can't wait for the first service to be done and then the full power of the beauty to be unleashed.

disconnect flapper valve and chuck a 15 tooth front sprocket make it even better

Hi Avon, looking at a new v4r abs myself, can you post up what mileage your getting from brim full to warning lite coming on, my only concern about this bike is whether it will make it between fuel stop on european holidays.

Hi Spyke, just under 110 before light came on, so with 4.5 ltr reserve I make that about another 25-35 miles absolute max. But as has been said before it depends how you ride it.

Make me the right offer and you could buy mine.

Got to be an abs model for me and prefer white as the matt black is harder to keep clean, will also need it to told as much fuel as possible for trips abroad. Best price new so far is £10,999 otr and the akra slip on another £600 but will either go sc project or austin racing.

Hi Avon, I'm only up the road in Amesbury. I pick up my Tuono next Saturday. It'll be good to meet up soon to swap notes, hints, mods etc. Rich

Hi Rich, excellent - give us a PM when you get sorted and we'll do that. Rob

Is there a guide somewhere for doing the flapper valve out of interest?
dead easy mate, can follow the cables from the exhaust to the little black box where servo is on the r/h/s of bike, 8mm socket to remove the cover then slacken the cables off and remove from servo end, refit cover and job done,
see your only in durham , pop it thru to darlo and i will happily do it, takes couple mins
