finally cored my cans.....

.....just thought I'd share that

I've have had the stuff for nearly 3 months and finally got around to doing it
 
Dunno yet! Mum called me in for tea before I could fit them

Methinks they will be. I did'nt fully comprehend the the extent of the full baffle till I saw it. Now it's basically straight through

(I've got a pic but just found attaching this is probably more hassle than it's worth)
 
Just fitted them, and yep, they are loud but sound awesome

For lower dB trackdays and MOT I have fitted (and Nob's not gonna like this) some removable end baffles which do quiet it down a fair bit when required

took the bike for a bike for a run today with the newly cored cans

holy **** they are loud
 
Yeah mine are loud also but I made baffles out of the inside of the can insert

Mine have the cone end and it was hard to fashion a fixing

But now I can tune the baffle to get the sound I want or the track wants
 
Here's my effort after a few months of having all the parts and doing fook all about it......
Standard T OEM cans, shortened by 100mm new 2.5" core, ali rivets and took my time hence this amazing result, they look the dogs and sound, well just breathtaking..........

I saw a 06 R last night at Bassets Pole and it had shortened Akra's on and they looked and sounded the business, I'm sorely tempted to do mine.
I'm just reluctant to cut into two lovely cans as I have no spares for the MOT, though I could refit the baffles I guess. HMMM
 
I just find with Akras there quiet, even race pipes.. ( I want loud like my SP1 )

So want some small cans..
