feul pump recall ? 07

:thumbup:Hello out there.Anybody who has a 07-08 rsvr might check with their dealers and some modles might have a recall with the fule pump.seeing how they might think that is wrong with mine. ok have a good weekend evertbody.donnie :biggrin

I believe the recall was to change some pipes around the pump which were fitted incorrectly and came loose.

I have frame numbers somehwere for the recall if anyone needs to know.

Beginning: ZD4RPC0505S000127
Ending: ZD4RRTTOX7S000522

This is for the fuel hose/clamp in the tank recall issued 18th march 2008 in the US.

Affects Tuono and Rsv 2006-7 approx (those are production dates not registration dates).

Oddly enough, I picked up my RSV after the first service & smelled gas riding it home. Turns out the crappy hoseclamp on the injector's fuel return line is loose & gas is soaking everything. Apparently just from lifting the tank to sync the idle. The dealer already replaced a hoseclamp on a rad hose that was weeping. I now see why there are aftermarket clamp kits available.

Eyup Spoonz, is this recall just for the US market, or does it affect us on this side of the pond. I bought my 07 RSVR private, so don't have a dealer as such.:dunno

I believe it affects all countries but seems to affect US bikes more regularly because the Ethanol content in their petrol softens the rubber more than our fuel.
