Fender Eliminator Decision

I am leaning toward replacing the rear fender on my 2013 T with one from EvoTech. This topic has probably been on here a million times but does anyone have an opinion on it? Any other suggestions?

I have the evotech on mine.

It was an absolute ball ache to fit and involved removing most of the rear end of the bike.

It does however look fantastic when fitted.

i have the Evotech, no ballache here, done in about 30min. If you know how to remove the rear tail properly, you'll make short work of it. Good, quality piece of kit.

Bought the Evotech from the web site in UK. Received it in 4 days! UK to Ohio, USA. I'm gonna try my best to avoid the ball ache!

Care to share some of your wisdom for installing the EvoTech tail tidy? Getting ready to start on it and noticed the nuts on the inside holding the current fender. I see a ball-ache coming on!

Yeah mate, easy.
Remove the Hex-Key bolts holding the side plastics on either side of the seat and remove the underseat panels. Then remove all hex-head bolts on the tail and the trick here is to remove the two seat lock bolts, they are longer and have alloy washers - and remove the whole locking mechanism. Then remove ALL the top phillips screws.
The whole tail then lifts off in one piece, by pulling it up and away from the rear of the bike. Remember you don't need to remove any screws or hex head bolts that look awkward or are hard to get to.

Once the bare tail is exposed, undo the under seat panel to expose the wiring. Remove the tail light and indicator harness/wiring. I disconnect the battery here and pull the starting relay out to make it easy to see the tail wiring. You need to tap into this wiring for the EvoTech led tail light, yellow is + and black is -.

If you are changing indicators, i recommend removing the wires off the oem indicators at the bulb connector by taking them apart. Keep the wiring at the harness untouched if you can, its worth the effort.

hope this helps mate!

Man! I can't believe how fast you replied!
Great write up. It's very much appreciated. 8:00 pm here in the States. I'll give it a try tomorrow after work.
Thanks again!
