There isn't a fault code 1 as such. This is the list of fault codes

Diag +1, Diag 0, Diag -1 however is the throttle position sensor readings for setting the sensor itself. They only show up when the diagnostic wires are connected together behind the n/s lower seat panel. Diag 0 is the correct reading and it's just a matter of rotating the sensor slightly until Diag 0 shows on the display panel.
The cutting out maybe something else however as the throttle position sensor shouldn't be that far out unless it's loose
Have you a Datatool alarm fitted?

s legs says dude thats not a fault code mate, if the connectors are together whcich it sounds like they and your only getting 1 up on the screen then there is no recognised electrical fault by the ECU.
As legs said before mate have you got an alarm fitted if so at what rpm does it cut out ie is it consistant, also does you kill switch on the handle bars feel good? these are common ones!
