Hi m8,

Quick question - how much quieter does fitting the baffles to the Renegade high mounts make them?.

I'm booked in for a "BikeSafe" assessed ride with my local traffic cops next month and really can't be arsed switching back to the standard dustbin can from the Rene's.

I've got a pair of BS stamped baffles here for the Renegades, and wondered since you seem to ride with your baffles fitted all the time, just how quiet they are compared to the Rene's running without the baffles?.

At the theory evening at my local Police HQ for the Bikesafe intro night, they told us that they were not bothered about us turning up for an assessed ride with a race can fitted, as long as it didn't "take the piss" and was too loud.

I'm wondering if I can get away with baffles fitted to the Renegades for the ride with the feds?.

I have some involvement with Bikesafe runs and can endorse the reply you were given. They're only interested in making you a safer rider.

I have run without the baffles and then put them back in - a slight difference only. They were loud with them in, a bit more raucious with them out. You will easily get away with 'em.

Good luck and let us know what you thought to a Bikesafe session.
