The traction control and abs warning lights on my bike activate and seem to drop the mapping into rain mode with loss of power. I did change my rear tyre to a 190/50 and tried to re calibrate tc.mhas anyone else had this problem?
Cheers

I would redo the Calibration. You say "tried", does this indicate it was not successful, sounds like there is a mismatch in front to rear wheel speed signals

Yeah tried calibration a few times but no success, maybe won't calibrate the 190/50. I'll try putting a 190/55 back on and if no change will take to dealer and plug in! Just completed a 2 day 1500 km trip with a group of mates, stuck in rain mode and no cruise, no fun!

Calibration

G'day Zencra. Interested in your thoughts on the 190x50 vs 190x55 profile....

Also, I'm fairly sure tyre profile won't be the cause of any ATC and ABS warning lights...most likely culprit would be an unsaved calibration. Have a read of the manual and try again.

It isn't easy but u use 2nd cog at 30kph until the cal light goes out (I assume you did that)....the speed will bounce around a lot due to the sensitive throttle at that low speed, but you are allowed a % error - when I did mine I managed to keep it between 30-34kph, then CAL light out, pulled over and switched ignition off and sat around like a dummy for 30secs (takes a long time that 30secs....) for the calibration to be retained in memory.

If that isn't the problem, then you might be right about needing a diagnostic plug in - but first check that you have reset ur ATC 1,2,3 levels and that ABS is set to 'on'.

best wishes for an easy fix! Cheers mate ;)

Sorry haven't been on for a while. Fitted 190/55 back on and voila calibration worked and lights out. Recently on another long ride the EFI warning light are coming on, seems to be when riding hard, also traction and abs lights started coming back on. I can turn bike off and after 5 mins or so it seems to reset itself only to light up again once riding hard. Frustrated as my dealer has just dropped Aprilia /Guzzi so a long drive now for service. I have also just removed rear spring and ordered a stiffer ohlins 160n/m ready for a week in Tassie.

Sorry mate - I've no idea what's causing the drama. I've clocked up 23,440kms and no body believes me when I report that my throttle is 100% smooth and free of the throttle body servo-tight motor hiccups that it had when it was new.......

I care not, as I have a perfect throttle now with the higher mileage......:D

And it was never a "fueling" issue as it didn't go away suddenly with a map update at the service........it just took time (and kms) to run in.

Hi Zencra.

Did you manage to fix your abs / atc lights coming on ?

I have exact same problem. I changed in spring for 190/55 tire but was never able to complete the calibration process. Blue flashing light never goes off no matter how many times I try.

When I turn the bike off overnight everything comes back to normal with my level 1 atc engaged and no orange lights but as soon as I run it hard both lights come back on and I have the "-" symbol on atc settings

I am about to bring it to dealer but if you fixed it please advise.

Thanks
